USA CardServices/Colony 1...We think it's a scam.

Quite a few months ago, I began to work with USA CardServices, while paying 140/month for a credit card processor. At first, all seemed gravy, until it was time to actually make money. And I didn't. Recently, another USA CardServices member contacted me and I realized I wasn't just a personal failure. He has been going around contacting all members that he could find, and here are just a few responses. (Names have been turned into initials to protect privacy, since I am not sure of how public all of them are willing to go for now)

Hi Crystal,
Thank you for contacting me about USACS. Here are all the replies I have gotten back in the last two days, since I started sending out the little contact message like the one you received and then the letter. If nothing else, you should feel better knowing that you are not alone in this situation ~ this ordeal. USA Card Services has suckered hundreds of people into this thing and it is quite an aye-opener to read the responses I'm getting back from them. Every single response is here. I have not left out any of them and it is of huge significance to me to note that there isn't one single positive message reporting success. Only frustration and anger at USACS, like your e-mail.
Please get back to me after you read everything, as we discussed. The reason I think it's important to see how many unhappy people out there involved with USACS (maybe all of them? I'm starting to wonder!) is that this is probably the way out for us all. Read on and judge for yourself the level of discontent. Doesn't it make you think that with enough people complaining to the right people or government agency, or in an arbitration process, that eventually something can be done to end the misery?

TTYL. Bruce Clark

hey Bruce, I found it to be a scam and returned my equipment. I would like to know what you have found. Thanks L.

I have only sold one Item. I am not having luck with people buying from me. If you are doing good selling please let me know your secret. I am not having problems with the website per say just selling things. Please feel free to contact me as well M.M.

Hello Bruce - I have not had much luck at all with my website. It's just WAY too expensive to run and I don't get any hits no matter what I do.

It all sounded so great in the beginning but now I'm putting out $139/month and getting nothing from the website. I need to figure out some other things or a different way to do the website or something!
Sorry for the downer...... I'll be glad to talk to you sometime about it, though. I'm at work right now but will be home around 5:00 tonight if you want to send another e-mail. Thanks Bruce ............ S.

Dear Bruce:

I also have Colony 1 and USA Credit Card Services. I found USA to hard to do for a novice. They sent the instructions, which I couldn't keep up with because I didn't know what they were talking about. I am just so frustrated with it, and I could kick myself for joining. They charge me $120 a month, for this credit card machine, the only activity it has, is when my granddaughter pushes the buttons. I wish there was some way I could get out of it. They sent me a name of a guy who was suppose to help me, but he directed me to a web-site where I was to communicate with him, and I couldn't figure out how. It was not a direct link, but a link where you had to jump through hoops to get to him. Believe me, I tried, but to no avail. I remain very discouraged. If you know anything I don't please so inform.
Sincerely,
C.R.

From unknown:

Yes we do have a site through Colony 1 and USA Card Services. Our encounters with this company has not been positive. The man who encouraged us to sign up made statement (promises) that were not true such as top 10 ranking. We have not received any of the help we were told we would get and certainly have not accomplished top 10 ranking. They have no help after 5:00pm which is when most people need the help because they work a full-time day job trying to get the business up and running.
Well that is some of our story. What is yours?

Hi Bruce,
To tell you the honest truth, I have wasted time since April trying to get our site going. I have wanted several times to just give up. I don't need the equipment from Ladco which is what our lease is on and I told them that from the start. We are strictly on the web and ecx takes care of that part. The equipment is still in the box. I opened it to see what was there.

The guy that signed me up made it sound like within a couple of months THEY would have our site listed in the top 10 of the search engines. He also made it sound like there was nothing to it. I have since signed up for a lot of programs to supposedly HELP get there from different places (which by the way don't) they were supposed to be free advertising and each of them is also supposedly the best. So yes we are very disappointed.

We have had 1 sale on our site since April and then our dropshipper was out of stock on that item so now I have to wait to fill that order until Jan 21 (hoping the people will wait). I also have more than 1 dropshipper in the background in case that happened but don't you know they also didn't happen to have the item I needed. Right now we are quite upset since we do not have all thias money to be throwing away. In my husbands words we may as well have started a fire and tossed it in for all we have gotten for the time and money we have spent.

To tell you truthfully there is one person at USACS that has tried very hard to help us but is limited to what they are allowed to do or can do.

I have asked Colony 1 if I was able to put a different template on our site from some of the free ones online and was told it either had to be used by everyone or I had to pay extra to have it placed there. It also seems like anything you want (such as a site search box) is unable to be done. I figured they had more knowledge than I did and in some cases even though I am termed a newby to most of this I found I knew more than them.

Let me know what happens. I am up for my 1 year soon and don't have a choice but to continue like you with that contract on my head.
D.B.

Needless to say, there are quite a few more responses pretty similar to this, and Bruce has informed me that this is just after 2 days of talking to people. If anyone knows anything further or has also been fleeced, please let us know.

Re: USA CardServices/Colony 1...We think it's a scam.

Hello!

I'm so sorry many have had no luck with USA Card and Colony One. I do see what you mean by "Easy to the novice" because e-commerce is by no way easy. I started my e-commerce biz in Dec. 2005. So far, in Jan. 2006 I have over $300 in sales and growing. I am not a novice however. The equipment they insist you rent is useless until you need to return an order, or reinburse. So far, I have not had to return anything but I know that is inevitable. For what it cost per month, I would be better of absorbing the loss. Thats another subject. The point is, they did pay for Summit $1495 to train me and $80 for a pay per click campaign. Web site development? (really my work but I like that) So for a novice, thats beyond you. All I can say is "ASK and ASK and ASK" Summit is suppose to answer all questions. By the way to all Christians, my website is http://PutOnFaith.com and we offer Christian Gifts for all.

Re: USA CardServices/Colony 1...We think it's a scam.

If anyone wants more information on USA Card Services or Ladco Leasing, please contact me: bcindesert@aol.com I have stuff that will knock your socks off!

Here's a particularly good posting on RipOffReport.com that explains a lot of what USA Card Services offers and how they operate.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!

TRULY!!!!

I HOPE EVERY AMERICAN SEES THIS !!!

AS AN EX-EMPLOYEE, I AM FULLY AWARE OF ALL THEIR ILLEGAL, IMMORAL AND UNETHICAL TACTICS USED TO GET PEOPLE TO SIGN A 4-YEAR NON-CANCELABLE CONTRACT BINDING YOU TO A STUPID UNIT CREDIT CARD MACHINE THAT, UNLESS YOU ARE A BRAIN DEAD PERSON, YOU SHOULD KNOW YOU WILL NEVER NEED FOR THE ONLINE INTERNET "BUSINESS" THEY TIE YOU TO.

RIP-OFF REPORT OWNERS NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PASS THIS INFORMATION TO THE RIGHT AUTHORITIES TO STOP SCAM ARTISTS AT WORK . INSIDE INFO? CAN'T GIVE YOU MUCH - BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT THERE ARE BIGGER MORE *****FUL FORCES AT WORK HERE IN THIS COMPANY AND TRUST ME IT DOES NOT COME FROM GOD.THEY PRETEND TO DO THIS BIG CHRISTIAN THING BY HOLDING BIBLE STUDY WITH THEIR EMPLOYEES EVERY MORNING AND IF YOU DON'T, YOU ARE KIND OF OUT OF THE LOOP THERE. YOUR GOAL AS A "SR BUSINESS ANALYST" IS TO FIND ELIGIBLE PEOPLE (PEOPLE THAT HAVE MEDIOCRE CREDIT BUT ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR A LEASE FOR A MACHINE THAT WILL GATHER DUST IN THEIR HOUSE ) AND PERSUADE THEM BY PROMISING THEM A "GOLDEN TICKET" TO MAKE WHAT THEY CALL THEIR "DREAM SPACE" A REALITY. EASY ENOUGH RIGHT? WELL, IF YOU CAN DO THAT, WOW !... YOU JUST WON $750, FOR EVERY SUCKER THAT SIGNS A CONTRACT! YIPPIE!!! AND AFTER A WHILE IF YOU HAPPEN TO DEVELOP A CONSCIENCE AND START ASKING QUESTIONS, WELL THE HEAD HONCHOS WILL FIND A WAY TO GET RID OFF YOU AND FILL YOUR SIT WITH "FRESH MEAT". WOW! WHAT A GREAT BUSINESS.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. WHY DOESN'T SOME GOVERNMENT AGENCY ( SUPPOSEDLY CREATED FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE ) DO SOMETHING AGAINST COMPANIES LIKE THIS ONE?

What kind of company has a crook running the company, unless they all are a bunch of crooks!!!

Hey, if you can prove any kind of fraud, especially interstate fraud like this, you can get the FBI after them. All it took was a call and a bunch of bull**** from Experian, and they were all over Ron. And with the way the current Grand Jury system is, you could get a ham sandwich indicted, and I am not joking. If you and others have been dealt with fraudulently, they will look into it, especially with all the new *****s to do surveillance on Americans without needing a court order, thanks to Bush and his Patriot Act. In this case, it may be able to help you guys. Well, just keep me posted, and be very careful out there.

Susan

Hi Kyla,
I received this information about fraud and the FBI today and thought
since you suggested you were trying to contact them, I'd pass this along. If
you actually get through to them before I do, let me know what they tell
you, OK? I'll be sure to do the same. I'm sending this suggestion to contact
the FBI to everyone. Many complaints will attract their interest far easier
than just a couple, right?
I was appalled to learn that these professional con artists hold prayer
meeting before work every day. What a smoke screen that is, huh? Unbelievable. I would very much like to see them all holding those prayer meetings in prison some day. It sounds like some of them already know what prison is all about. They've already been there and are now back out to resume their criminal ways.

Thanks, Bruce Clark

Hi Marg,
Wonderful! I can see the momentum building. This could turn into a wildfire very quickly with enough motivated people getting on board. Let me know what develops for you. I will, of course, do the same.

Best Regards, Bruce Clark

Re: USA CardServices/Colony 1...We think it's a scam.

I know it is a scam!! I fell for it!!!!! I signed up with USA Card services and ofcourse was told I had to have the cc equipment and an account with I-Payment! I paid these monthly fees for a while and when, after several months, I saw that my site , no matter what I did, was not going to sell a darn thing, I called all of these companies to cancel. My family was also going through many hardships at one time and my marriage was even falling apart. I was looking at raising 3 kids as a divorcee and one of our biggest arguments was this contract I signed trying to have my own work from home company!! I told all of them my story and even offered to settle for a lesser amount, or whatever I had to, to get out of the monthly payments, I could not afford for the next 40 months. To no avail, they didn't care, they just wanted their "leased" equipment back, AND for me to still pay the contract in full, to the tune of over $4000. Well, I had to close my bank account to stop the payments that were putting me in danger of losing my home and food on the table, not to mention my marriage and just recently, when trying to refinance my home, I found out that they reported to my credit. The only thing I have found for information on how to get rid of this nightmare, wants me to pay $67 to find out how to legally break my lease and "for a limited time only" included free is how to get my money back from them. Go figure! I sure would love to find out or help start a class action suit against them! It is just sooooo wrong to defraud people like that and how do they sleep at night?? If anyone has any helpful info, please contact me, I would soooo greatly appreciate it!! I guess I am just a sucker for scams! I also fell for another one that is on this site! Time to back away from the computer and just go out and beat the streets for a real job! :(
